In 2023, Altruistic Current was contracted by the Halifax Regional Muncipality (HRM) to design and deliver a collaborative interpretive mural, between the City and Parks Canada. The site was an iconic spot in Halifax, the foot of Citadel Hill’s Clocktower. Owned by Parks Canada, the two organizations wanted to improve the imagery of the walls at the base of the stairs, which sees tens of thousands of visitors every year. Based on the design brief, we developed a pair of designs that showed scaled-up versions of the Clocktower’s blueprints on a blueprint-inspired background. Parks Canada supplied three large informative panels to the left of the main mural.

My work in this project was to create the thumbnails and final design, as well as deliver the painting of the murals themselves. In addition, I also created motion graphics to help tease what was to come at the site.
